Josh Chognowski and Sam Rivers are part of the U17 State Cricket Squad

Congratulations Josh and Sam!

Western Australia’s squad for the upcoming Under-17 National Championships in Brisbane have had their cap presentation at the WACA Ground’s President’s Room on Monday night.

WA will be looking to improve on last year’s fifth-place finish in Hobart, when they compete in Pool B of the revised 10-team competition where all teams will play eight matches including finals.

The squad are due to leave for Brisbane on Saturday, ahead of Monday’s opening match against Tasmania. The finals will be played on Thursday 8 October.

WA will be coached by former state batsman Michael Dighton with Willetton’s Aaron Hardie named as captain.
